Summary

TeacherActive is currently working with an Ofsted outstanding SEMH provision based in Oxford. Their philosophy is based on principles which are holistic, inclusive, aspirational and progressive. They deliver a structured programme of education, tailored to each students’ individual needs and taking into account their education, health and care plan. Students are taught in small cohorts and some individually by fully qualified Teachers.
I am looking for a qualified Maths Teacher with alternative provision experience and can engage fully. Someone who can build great relationships with vulnerable children, encourage them to explore, to question and challenge, and work collaboratively alongside staff members as a team. This is a challenging but highly rewarding role where you get to see first hand your influence and nurturing abilities come to life through the learner.
The successful Maths Teacher will have:
• Experience working with children and young people with additional needs, specifically SEMH, ASD, ADHD
• GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and maths
• Certificate in Education/ PGCE / DTLLS/ DET
• Able to plan and deliver lessons to ensure students are getting the most out of classroom time
• Have own vehicle or ability to travel to site
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills enabling you to work with colleagues and students at all levels
