Quality Assurance Manager
Bridgwater
Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)
We are recruiting at our Bridgwater Dairy for a Quality Assurance Manager to join us on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will provide governance of the quality management system to ensure delivery of best in class products whilst striving to continuously improve in line with Müller values, they will enable Operational Excellence through quality compliance.
Quality Assurance Manager Role & Responsibilities:
- 10 direct reports
- Provides expertise through Quality Management Systems Knowledge.
- Displays drive and motivation to continually improve quality based performance.
- Demonstrates active involvement in solving problems.
- Plays an active part in building QMS capability across site.
- Responsible for laboratory management and other QMS duties.
- Supports and process confirms operations quality control responsibilities.
- Displays strong IT skills and capability.
- Provides governance and ownership of Quality Index and other monthly reports.
- Responsible for internal and external audit processes.
- Creates positive and collaborative relationships with suppliers and customers.
- Looks and encourages others to find “waste” opportunities in everything that we do.
- Seeks out improvement opportunities within the workplace and converts to own CI projects.
- Owns and delivers CI initiatives and is recognised for these.
- Utilises all available opportunities, enabling others to improve the way we do things.
- Collaboratively works with other teams to improve our business.
- Supports team to demonstrate CI contribution through PDP process.
Key skills & experience:
- Previous experience as Technical Coordinator / Quality Assurance Manager / Laboratory Manager
- Strong influencing and communication capability
- Advanced problem solving
- A3 problem solving
- Retailer codes of practice
- BRC audit experience
- Word and Excel literate
- HACCP
- Advanced Food hygiene
- Microbiology
- Dairy Experience highly desirable
