Summary


We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Financial Services Team within the Technical Accounts Section as Deputy Financial Controller. This is a Trust wide post which is based at Hermitage Court, Hermitage Lane, Maidstone. A short walk from the main Maidstone hospital site.

The Financial Services Team operates on a hybrid working basis, with three days in the office at Hermitage Court and then two days working from home on a rota basis.

The Deputy Financial Controller has responsibility, through completion of own work & through the co-ordination of the work with the sales ledger Team, purchase ledger team, cashiers and the technical team, for ensuring that all cash issues of the Trust are managed on a day-to-day basis adhering to the appropriate Trust Policies and Procedures, Standing orders and Standing Financial Instructions. The post hold must complete daily reconciliation of the Trust's bank accounts and cash flow forecast. The post-holder must demonstrate excellent communication, training and advisory skills, when investigating complex or sensitive issues referred for resolution by the technical accounting team and other finance colleagues, budget or charitable fund managers. This post has responsibility for the timely completion of a selection of complex control account reconciliations to ensure completeness & timely clearance of issues.
