Crynodeb
We are recruiting for Mechanical Fitters for work within the estates infrasture department at HMNB Clyde.
You will be required to undertake mechanical fitting activities, repairs and inspections on systems and equipment on all aspects of work completed within the estate and when required in other sections.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Completion of all planned preventative maintenance and nuclear implicated work to ensure the department meets the objectives of the business.
• Identification and rectification of all system, manufacture, defects and alterations.
• Ensure that work is carried out in line with current processes and make suggestions on improving systems and processes to increase productivity in accordance with set objectives and timescales.
• Work within all H&S legislation, Safe Systems Of Work and control of work processes within BM&T Clyde policies.
Experience and knowledge on the majority of the following:
• Mechanical Systems and Equipment
• Interpretation of engineering drawings
• Maintenance Documentation
• Risk Assessments
• COSHH
• Safe systems of work
Qualifications
Recognised Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent
Asbestos Awareness
Confined Spaces for Competent Persons
Pristine Manual Handling
MOD clearance is required for this role.

RATES:
PAYE RATES:
Dayshift £20.55, Nightshift: £27.14, Overtime £28.49, OT Weekends £37.98, Shift £25.26
UMBRELLA RATES:
Dayshift £26.50, Nightshift: £34.73, Overtime £37.13, OT Weekends £49.50, Shift £32.28
Radius payment of £5 per hr for anyone outside of a 20 miles, first 38hrs only.
3-6 month contract initially.
