Summary
Hours:- 42 over a 4.5 day week between 7am and 6pm
Salary:- £28,000 to £30,500 per annum
In order to apply for this position you must possess a relevant childcare qualification at HNC or SVQ level 4 or working towards BA in Childhood Practice. A minimum of three years’ experience in a childcare setting is essential along with a minimum of two years of senior/leadership responsibilities. REHIS food hygiene and First Aid Certification is desirable, however training can be provided.
You will work as part of the senior leadership team supporting the Senior Manager to lead the early year’s team working within an early learning and childcare environment. You will demonstrate clear leadership qualities in leading your team to deliver a high quality early years provision for children and families. Working within the context of local and national curriculum guidance, policy and legislation developing a range of appropriate experiences and learning opportunities suitable for children’s age and stage of development within an extended day/extended year centre. You will support the creation of a safe, caring, stimulating and inclusive environment for parents and families within the community. You will be enthusiastic and articulate with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have an understanding of the importance of confidentiality. Additionally we require you to:-
* Have good IT and administrative skills.
* Knowledge of Care inspectorate & SSSC standards and an understanding of
inspections is beneficial but not essential.
*Have a genuine passion for early years education and outdoor learning.
*Well organised and an excellent communicator
*Be a great team player.
*Happy to explore outdoors during all seasons
