Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cardiac Support Worker to join the
department at Castle Hill Hospital and in the community when the new Community Diagnostic Centre is completed We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, compassionate and motivated individual who is hard working and flexible. The role requires people who are caring and committed to delivering a high standard of patient centred care.


The team currently provides a full range non-invasive diagnostic services for the
cardiac out patients department, cardiology and non-cardiology wards and has
recently undertaken a role within the community. The successful candidate will be expected to work in the department at Hull Royal Infirmary also.
As a support worker you will be required to learn basic ECG interpretation and in house training and support will be provided. Further progression is now accessible in this role to provide holter analysis and reporting with full training and support delivered in house.

To perform basic cardiac diagnostic tests on patients within the trust and in the community clinic. Assists Cardiac Physiologists during cardiac diagnostic testing. Document tests undertaken and accurately enter test results/reports.

¨ Performs a range of basic cardiac diagnostic tests, including:

Electrocardiograms

Ambulatory ECG and BP monitoring

Cardiac event/loop recordings

¨ Assist Cardiac Physiologists by preparing patients for more advanced cardiac investigations.

¨ Assisting patients attending the cardiology department to prepare for tests whilst maintaining privacy and dignity
