Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join a new team within the Housing Investment Service. The person we are looking for must be highly motivated, conscientious and an efficient individual who will work within a team of officers to ensure access is achieved on the compliance work streams.
You must be confident when communicating with customers in their homes. You will liaise with vulnerable residents (many in sensitive situations), other Council departments, Council contractors and other agencies to gather information and help facilitate access to allow tasks to be completed.
You will need to be highly organised and have the ability to work on numerous cases at the same time.
You must be able to work to competing deadlines, manage constant conflicting demands and thrive on challenges.
You must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with people at all levels. You must have excellent communication skills to work well as part of the Compliance Access Team and equally work on your own initiative, be comfortable and confident lone working, when mobile working across the city.
You will have experience of using a broad range of systems including I.T, and be able to manage your time to ensure tasks are completed accurately.
The main focus of the Housing Investment Service is to provide services to the Council’s circa 23,712 homes – part of a range of landlord services funded by the Housing Revenue Account (HRA). Particular focus is on a strategic approach to planned maintenance and repairs enabling a quality service delivery and increased value for money.
Our aim is to provide an efficient, customer focussed service that ensures high levels of quality, continuous improvement and value for money to enable our customers to live in a comfortable, safe and well maintained home.
