Summary

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Pipefitter to join our team. As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for installing, assembling, and maintaining piping systems in various industrial settings. This is a hands-on role that requires strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with power tools and hand tools.

Duties:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of piping systems
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes using hand tools or power tools
- Weld or solder pipes together using stick welding or other welding techniques
- Install pipe hangers and supports to ensure proper alignment and stability
- Test piping systems for leaks using pressure gauges or other testing equipment
- Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as electricians and HVAC technicians, to ensure proper coordination of work
- Repair or replace damaged pipes or fittings as needed
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to all relevant codes and regulations

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of pipefitting techniques and procedures
- Proficiency in stick welding and other welding techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Knowledge of power tools and hand tools used in pipefitting
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require heavy lifting or working in confined spaces

Qualification:

CCNSG Safety Passport and one of the following

Level 3 Apprenticeship in Engineering Construction - Pipefitter Standard (ST0162)
Diploma in Installing Engineering Construction Plant and Systems - Pipefitting
ECITB Diploma in Installing Engineering Construction Plant and Systems - Pipefitting SCQF Level 6
ECITB Skills Test Alternative / Skills Test Number: TPF05

Pay: £26.15-£27.12 per hour
