Summary
Northern Caravan Specialists Ltd are expanding and are looking to add to our team by recruiting a Trainee Caravan and Motorhome Technician.
Main duties include assisting with:
Caravan servicing
Motorhome habitation servicing
General fault-finding and repair, as well as electrics, gas systems, heating systems, appliances, plumbing
Warranty and insurance diagnosis and repair
Water ingress diagnosis and repair
Fitting of solar panels, motor movers, TV aerials and other accessories as required
Miscellaneous general duties as required
The role:
Under supervision, you will learn how to diagnose faults, repair, maintain and service caravans, motorhomes and other leisure vehicles. Training will be in accordance with the National Caravan Council’s Approved Workshop Scheme, and you will work towards undertaking the relevant industry qualifications.
Skills/Qualities you will require:
• Eagerness – enthusiasm to learn and progress.
• Interest – a genuine interest in the caravan/motorhome industry.
• Confidence – in your own ability to undertake tasks.
• Communication – possess good verbal and written skills.
• Demeanour – a pleasant attitude toward work colleagues and customers.
• Initiative – the ability to problem-solve and work independently where required.
• Reliability – as part of a small team, reliability is imperative to the running of the business.
• Capability – be able to cope with working in what can sometimes be physically demanding situations, including outdoors.
Qualifications:
The qualifications listed below are preferable, although not necessarily essential:
A* - D in Maths and English (or equivalent).
Job Type:
Permanent, Full-time (37 hours pw). Part-time may be considered.
Hours:
9:00 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday
9:00 – 16:30 Friday
Salary:
Dependent upon experience/qualifications.
Holidays:
28 days paid holiday per year including Bank Holidays.
