Summary
Northern Caravan Specialists Ltd are expanding and are looking to add to our team by recruiting a Caravan and Motorhome Technician.
Main duties include:
Caravan servicing
Motorhome habitation servicing
General fault-finding and repair, as well as electrics, gas systems, heating systems, appliances, plumbing
Warranty and insurance diagnosis and repair
Water ingress diagnosis and repair
Fitting of solar panels, motor movers, TV aerials and other accessories as required
Miscellaneous general duties as required
Person Spec/Qualities:
As the ideal candidate you will hold relevant industry qualifications or a good practical, multi-skilled background and relevant experience/qualifications in a hands-on trade such as plumbing, mechanics, engineering, electronics or carpentry. For the right candidate job-related training will be available.
You will also possess the following qualities:
Diligence – You must be competent, dedicated and conscientious, with a good eye for detail, ensuring accuracy at all times.
Initiative – You should be methodical, self-motivated, be able to work both independently as well as part of our team, and possess good problem-solving skills.
Reliability – As a small team, reliability and commitment are imperative to the smooth-running of our service centre, so you must be dependable.
Willingness – You will be willing to learn new skills/processes and be able to deal positively with short-notice changes to schedule and pace.
Disposition – You must have a positive, confident, professional, friendly attitude/demeanour with both work colleagues and customers.
Capability – You should be able to cope with working in what can sometimes be physically demanding situations, including outdoors where required.
Qualifications/Training:
The qualifications listed below are preferable, however, relevant industry alternative/equivalent qualifications and experience will be considered.
City & Guilds (or equivalent) NCC caravan/motorhome service award.
ACOPS (or equivalent) gas qualification.
NCC (or equivalent) electrical qualification.
Ongoing training will be provided as necessary.
Job Type:
Permanent, Full-time (37 hours pw). Part-time may be considered.
Hours:
9:00 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday
9:00 – 16:30 Friday
Salary:
Dependent upon experience/qualifications.
Holidays:
28 days paid holiday per year including Bank Holidays.
