Summary
Operations Manager
Fawkes and Reece are currently working closely with an established Family-Owned Main Contractor that have a reputation in the Construction market delivering a variety of design and build, new build and refurbishment schemes. Our client is well established with over 40 years trading and pride themselves in being a finically sound business with a strong positive cash balance making them one of the top 2% most financially strong UK Construction companies.
About the role of Operations Manager
As a business, our client operates in London and the Southeast working across Education, Commercial, Health care, leisure, Heritage, and residential schemes ranging from small works up to circa £7 Million. Typically, their projects are under JCT form of Contract.
For this role, our client is looking for an experienced Operations Manager responsible for all operations and Commercial to work within one of their successful divisions on projects ranging from £5 Million to £7 Million in value. The successful candidate will oversee the division which has multiple schemes and circa 8 sites live within the London region. You will be responsible for the team consisting of 3 contracts Managers, site managers and 5 Surveyors. With a existing turnover of £15 Million and plans to grow to £20 Million.
Responsibilities for Operations Manager
- Responsible for all operations and Commercial of the business unit
- Managing a large team of 10+ staff members
- Maintain and growing a Division and profit and loss
- Business Development and managing clients
- Regular site visits
Requirements for Operations Manager
- 10 years + experience working with a Main Contractor
- Good Communication skills
- Experience within a operations manager and commercial role
- Ability to build strong relationships.
