This opportunity is in the solution design and development arena for Technical Architect - Data Science who have a deep understanding of data science principles, extensive experience in designing and implementing scalable data architectures, and the ability to lead a team of data scientists and engineers. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring the effective use of data to drive decision-making and innovation.
Job Description (Main Duties and Responsibilities)
Develop and maintain data models, databases, and data lakes/warehouses to ensure data is organized, accessible, and secure.
Design and oversee the implementation of robust, scalable, and efficient data architectures that support advanced data science and analytics
Ensure thorough documentation of data architectures, processes, and models. Also, ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards.
Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, software developers, and business analysts, to ensure seamless integration of data solutions.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in data science and machine learning technologies, incorporating them into the organization’s practices.
Lead efforts in data integration, ensuring data from various sources is accurately and efficiently incorporated into the data ecosystem.
Develop and maintain data models, databases, and data lakes/warehouses to ensure data is organized, accessible, and secure.
Monitor and optimize the performance of data systems and models to ensure high availability and responsiveness.
Provide detailed reports and recommendations on discovered vulnerabilities, prioritizing remediation efforts.
Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed [The candidate must demonstrate these in all stages of assessment]
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in data science and data architecture roles.
Extensive experience with data integration, data warehousing, and big data technologies. Also, designing and implementing large-scale data architectures.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, Java, or Scala.
Expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases
Experience with big data technologies like Apache, Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related data services.
Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
Good skills with Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes
Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
