Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Property Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have and hold a UK LLB degree. As a Commercial Property Paralegal, you will support our solicitors and clients in a wide range of commercial property transactions, including acquisitions, disposals and leases. You will also be expected to work as a fee earner, contributing to the firm's revenue through billable hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Document Preparation and Review: Draft, review, and amend legal documents, including leases, contracts, deeds, and licenses.
- Due Diligence: Conduct comprehensive due diligence, reviewing title documents, land registry searches, planning permissions, general searches and other miscellaneous documents.
- Conveyancing Process: Assist with conveyancing for commercial property transactions, including sales, purchases, and leasing.
- File and Case Management: Manage and organise case files, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation.
- Financial Administration: Handle financial aspects of transactions, such as calculating SDLT, registering properties with HM Land Registry, and preparing completion statements.
- Client Service: Provide excellent service by raising and responding promptly to inquiries and keeping clients informed about the transaction progress.
Requirements
- 1-2 years experience as a commercial property paralegal.
- UK LLB degree.
- Strong understanding of the commercial property process.
- Excellent research, analytical, and drafting skills.
- Proficient in legal research databases and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Outstanding organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a fee earner, contributing to the firm’s revenue through billable hours.
