Summary
AsSenior Commercial Lead for the Professional Services, Corporate Services and Estates teamin the Commercial Directorate the post holder will lead a team of 5procurementprofessionals, supporting and delivering a varied workload and work as part of a dynamic, multi-disciplined team. The post holder is part of the category Senior leadership team aligning the overall commercial delivery.
Main duties of the job
· Leading a team in the management and delivery of a complex category aligned to the governance of NHS England and respecting the need to drive value from every pound spent in the public sector
· Delivering effective and appropriate support and guidance to the organisations stakeholders to compliantly manage the expenditure within the category
· Working with peers to establish a cross cutting community of practice to improve the profession within NHS England and to firmly establish our values and culture
· Provide oversight to the Procurement Reform Act, it’s implementation and the practical delivery of requirements across the category
Reporting to the Associate Director of Commercial Delivery you will join our category team leading one of 4 sub-teams.
The aim of the Commercial delivery & Governance structure is to manage NHS England’s expenditure in line with key policies including the Standing Financial instructions and the Procurement policy. You will be a subject matter expert for our internal and external stakeholders.
