Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical and Administrative Support Officer to join our Licensing Team at Harlow Council. The successful candidate will have a varied range of duties, including the processing of data and licensing applications, act as a customer contact for the licensing team and processing complaints. The main work areas include alcohol, entertainment and gambling licensing, street trading, charitable street and house to house collections and scrap metal and hackney carriage/private hire work. This post will be a hybrid working arrangement between working from home and at the main council offices in the Civic Centre.
The candidate will preferably have some experience of working in the licensing sector or a similar customer focused environment.
As a member of our small but busy team, you will be self-motivated with the ability to manage your own caseload within tight timescales. Good time management and organisational skills are therefore essential combined with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills at all levels are essential together with the ability to contribute effectively within the team, and with other teams across the Council.
