Summary


The post holder will work autonomously within the two bedded level 2 High Dependency Unit facility
Recent critical care experience or equivalent is desirable
HDU / Critical Care certificate is desirable
Current UK NMC registration is essential
Full training / induction period will be given


The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, motivated and forward thinking individual who will be passionate and committed to delivering excellent standards of clinical care and patient experience


The post holder will be an ambassador for the 6 C’s culture for compassionate care – Care, Compassion, Competence, Communication, Commitment and Courage

Assist with the clinical management of patients within HDU

Maintaining high standards of clinical practice and promoting the philosophy of patient and family centred care

Ensuring effective communication is maintained at all times

Provide clinical support and knowledge to patients and their families

To promote collaborative working partnership and effective communication between all members of the multi-disciplinary team

Act as an effective role model and demonstrate organisational leadership skills,acting up for senior staff during their absence in the clinical area

Contribute towards developing and maintaining a suitable and stimulating learning environment for ongoing professional development of all staff and students within the unit

To support the HDU Manager and Matron in the establishment of a good working atmosphere and in making the most efficient and effective use of all resources, to the benefit of the service and the Trust

To develop links with all care agencies to facilitate seamless care delivery

Promote health and wellness through practice and education of patients, relatives,carers and staff
