Summary

The Strategic Data and Policy Insight team play a central role within the University, facilitating an understanding of strategic data, HE policy and performance. Through data analysis and commentary, the team provides insight for university decision making in order to help delivery of the new strategy.
We are looking for a Senior Data and Information Analyst to join this team. You will support the university-wide delivery of both operational and strategic data reporting, producing analysis and insight to inform strategic decision-making and improve student outcomes.
As a senior member of a the team, you will be responsible for leading significant projects, developing relationships with key stakeholders and presenting data to high-level audiences. You’ll be working with a large volumes of data from across the University, helping the team to explore new opportunities and developing new methods of analysis.
The successful candidate will have an honours degree or equivalent, in a discipline relevant to data reporting and analysis and be an experienced data analyst, with experience of investigating complex data queries, developing effective business intelligence solutions and producing insight. You’ll have substantial experience of data modelling, visualisation and analysis using tools such as Tableau and Alteryx and the ability to write T-SQL queries, as well as excellent communication skills.
