Summary

Hinton Pest Control Ltd will consider candidates who are either RSPH Level 2 qualified or unqualified but willing to train towards RSPH Level 2 qualification.

JOB PURPOSE:
Provision of pest and vermin control by visiting customers to make inspections and carrying out treatments. Pest Control Technician’s primary purpose is to eliminate the infestation and put measures in place to ensure the pests do not return.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Pest Control Service Delivery

Establish effective working relationships with a variety of customers and partner with them on best practices to identify and solve pest problems.
Organise and apply pesticides in accordance with label recommendations and comply with relevant legislation and CRRU UK Code of Best Practice.
Inspect and record findings on customer premises on a routine basis in conjunction with service level agreement.
Provide written reports on levels of pest infestation to determine the most effective solution to eradicate the pests
Liaison with Environment Health Officers as required.
As a point of contact responsible in supporting and maintaining the reputation of Hinton Pest Control Ltd.
Ensure effective communication between administrative function and technical field-based staff on a regular basis.

Administration

Accurately submit reports and other related paperwork as required at specified time intervals.
Responsible for keeping on-site technical folders up to date.

Health & Safety

Compliance with Health & Safety legislation.
Effective use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills.

Stock Control

Receive stocks from stores department
Utilize stocks for service delivery
Secure stocks for service delivery
Maintain accurate vehicle stock inventory

Customer Service

Deliver a quality inspection, risk assessments, environmental risk assessments and treatment service to exceed customer expectation and specification.
Be empathetic and supportive of customer phobias.
Sell new and additional work as opportunities arise.

Company Vehicle Maintenance

Ensure the Company vehicle is roadworthy, at all times.
Ensure the Company vehicle is kept washed and clean, both inside and outside, as often as is necessary to maintain a smart, professional image.

General

Must take full responsibility for your own Health and Safety
Any Health and Safety issues must be reported to the management
Wear uniform provided, be of smart appearance and polite to maintain a smart, professional image.

Other Responsibilities:

To carry out any other tasks as the role requires commensurate with the pay and seniority of the role.
At all times comply with company policies, procedures and instructions.
Contribute to improving the business and enhancing the reputation of the company by putting forward new ideas and by implementing change when requested to do so.

Education / Qualifications

Essential
Read and write in English to a good standard
Ability to study & achieve RSPH Level 2 in Pest Management

Desirable
RSPH Level 2 Pest Management
