We are currently looking to recruit a HSE officer to work at our factory just outside Warrington.

Health, Safety and Environmental Officer - The Role:

The HSE officer will be responsible for ensuring that the organisation's compliance with all current health, safety and environmental legislation and act as the champion for a culture of health and safety in the workplace.
Main duties and responsibilities:

Key responsibilities:

* Develop, implement and maintain HSE policies and procedures to ensure they are current and effective
* Conduct and regularly review risk assessments and ensure these are communicated and employees are trained.
* Manage employee engagement for HSE issues,
* Carry out regular workplace walkarounds, housekeeping and equipment audits, identify potential hazards and
implement control measures to mitigate risks
* Assist with the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Integrated ISO Management system
* Organise and manage Statutory inspections arrangements
* Ensure that all Contractors are approved to work on site
* Develop, deliver and co-ordinate the HSE training programme for employees
* Conduct incident investigations, maintain record and report findings
* Monitor and manage the on-site waste, energy and sustainability programmes and initiatives
* Coordinate and chair the monthly HSE Committee Meeting and the Occupational Health Programme

Health, Safety and Environmental Officer - The Candidate:

* Must hold a Professional Health and Safety Certification
* They should have at least 2 -3 years' experience in a similar role within a industrial or manufacturing environment and a
proven track record of developing HSE policies, risk assessment and procedures
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to conduct training sessions and presentations is a pre-
requisite for this role
