Summary

Position Summary:
Sister System is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Content and Events Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating engaging content, planning and executing events, and supporting media relations and outreach efforts. This role requires a blend of creative design skills, marketing acumen, and excellent organisational abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation:
Develop, write, and edit content for various platforms including social media, website, newsletters, and blogs.
Design promotional and marketing materials such as flyers, brochures, posters, and digital graphics.
Create compelling multimedia content, including videos and infographics.

Event Coordination:
Plan, organise, and execute events, including webinars, conferences, product launches, and community events in collaboration with the programmes coordinator.
Coordinate event logistics, including venue selection, vendor management, and attendee communication.
Develop event-related content and promotional strategies to drive attendance and engagement.

Media Relations and Outreach:
Support media relations efforts by drafting press releases, media kits, and other communication materials.
Assist in coordinating media outreach and tracking media coverage.
Build and maintain relationships with media contacts and influencers.

Marketing Support:
Support the Director of Partnerships & Communication to develop and implement marketing campaigns.
Analyse and report on the effectiveness of content and event initiatives.
Stay up to date with industry trends and incorporate best practices into marketing strategies.

Community Engagement:
Engage with community stakeholders and partners to foster positive relationships.
Support the development and implementation of community outreach programmes.

Administrative Duties:
Maintain an organised content and events calendar.
Provide administrative support as needed.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in content creation, event planning, and/or media relations.
Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and content management systems (CMS).
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Excellent organisational and project management abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with social media management and digital marketing.
Familiarity with video production and editing.
Experience in media outreach and relationship building.

Work Structure:
100% Office-based with occasional travel for events.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for event execution.
