Summary
Service Care Solutions have a vacancy based in Hinkley, Leicestershire for an experienced Caretaker to join a team on a Full Time Temporary basis.
The post-holder will assist in the delivery of high-quality Community Life Choices, Short Breaks and Supported Living services and will undertake all aspects of premises caretaker duties. You will be responsible for the maintenance, security and cleanliness of buildings and grounds which ensures that all users have a comfortable, clean, safe and well-maintained environment in which to work and use the facilities.
Your main duties will include;
- Carry out maintenance as agreed with the service manager ensuring the work completed is to a good standard and cost effective.
- Maintain building and maintenance equipment
- Perform routine checks and minor repairs to heating, lighting, appliances and other fixtures within the building
- Complete minor repairs in other areas of the building as required to a good standard
- To support in porterage duties to service users
- Liasie with external contractors ensuring compliance with Health and Safety
- Ensure that all technology used for the service is in good working order
- Undertake PAT testing
- Open and close the building and setting/resetting alarms
- Oversee and undertake infection prevention control
- Complete cleaning duties within the building
- Undertake such other duties within the scope of the role
Requirements:
- Hold a Full UK Driving License and access to own vehicle - (Expenses will be paid)
- Be flexible to work outside of normal hours including weekends
- Be willing to complete an Enhanced DBS Check
- Good standard of written and spoken English
- Previous experience in Caretaking
