Summary
The Network is the clinical research delivery arm of the NHS in England, and is tasked with supporting the rapid set-up and effective conduct of studies, enabling the research community to gather evidence to improve treatments for NHS patients. We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic research nurse/practitioner to join an established clinical research team, based at Hammersmith Hospital. The post holder will be working with the non-malignant haematology research team on a range of interventional and non-interventional studies. This will involve the identification, recruitment, education and monitoring of patients participating in research along with the timely collation and documentation of accurate data. The role is patient facing and the post holder may be asked to work on COVID-19 research studies, in addition to trials within the non-malignant haematology research portfolio. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clinical trials whereby they can make a valued contribution in assessing and managing the care pathways for patients participating in research. The post requires excellent communication skills, a sound understanding of complex scientific protocols, and the ability to work autonomously.

You will also be responsible for the organisation of follow-up assessments for trial patients, and the collection and documentation of accurate data, taking responsibility for the planning, development and implementation of the clinical research portfolio that reflects the patient population, and the work and interests of the local clinical teams.
