Summary

Are you enthusiastic and hardworking? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Water Compliance Technician to join the University of Sheffield's Water Compliance Team. Reporting to the Water Compliance Manager, you will assist with the effective delivery of the University’s water compliance and maintenance function. You will monitor and maintain water distribution systems on a day-to-day basis, undertaking planned and reactive servicing routines. You will also ensure that the systems are operated and managed in compliance with the University’s policies and procedures, current technical legislation and health and safety guidance. This role will involve working as part of a team and working at times on own initiative.

The Water Compliance Team is part of the Engineering & Maintenance section of Estates and Facilities Management, providing a reactive and planned programme of works for a varied range of properties which understandably present their own challenges. Some, such as the Arts Tower, are of prodigious architectural importance and must be preserved as part of our national heritage. Others, such as the award-winning Information Commons, are modern and sophisticated in their design and servicing.
