This opening assignment is for 2 months

A Business Support Assistant is required to work on Reception within a Children’s Social Care Office and to greet visitors (internal and external), handle internal calls, manage meeting room availability, receive deliveries and provide business and administrative support services.

Key responsibilities:

Deal with enquiries in line with procedures and protocols.
Give a professional and courteous reception service.
Maintain information systems, accurate records and up to date filing systems as directed.
Manage meeting room availability, receive deliveries and provide business and administrative support services.
Collate and produce management information as needed.
Sort, distribute and dispatch correspondence in line with procedures and protocols.
Develop and maintain positive joint working relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
Account for, reconcile and make sure of the security of petty cash, stock and cash equivalents in line with Financial Regulations.

Experience:

Previous reception experience in any office/clinic environment preferred but training will be provided for the right applicant.
Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.



Skills & Abilities:

Ability to multitask and problem solve.
Strong organisational skills.
Excellent communication skills (phone and face to face).
Efficient computer skills, internet skills and keyboard skills.
Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
Strong customer service skills.
