About this opportunity

This exciting role offers the opportunity to head up the Capital Reporting & Advisory team in the centre of our Finance community. Guiding a team of 12 finance professionals you'll be responsible for the delivery of our capital disclosures and reporting to the regulator as well as monthly reporting to support internal risk committees and providing technical advice on internal and external transaction activity.

Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Build a successful team, ensuring effective leadership and development; be part of a Leadership Team, encouraging a clear common purpose across a wider team of approximately 60 colleagues.

  • Capital Reporting: Deliver monthly and quarterly capital reporting for five banking entities to the Regulator and prepare management information to support review of performance against internal benchmarks.

  • External Reporting: Own quarterly messaging in external disclosures, including delivery of the regulatory Pillar 3 disclosure.

  • Capital Technical & Advisory : Provide technical advice on internal and external transactions and ensure compliance with regulatory rules.

  • Process Controls: Maintain and improve controls across reporting processes.

  • Finance Transformation: Influence Finance transformation initiatives

  • Operational Improvements: Deliver operational enhancements and adopt new tools and technologies.

What you'll need:

  • As a strong people leader, you'll have experience in fostering a positive culture and creating a successful impactful team.

  • As a qualified finance professional you have a track record in delivering reporting outputs and writing external messaging whilst ensuring effective control and risk management. Ideally you also have some regulatory capital knowledge or a strong statutory accounting background.

  • Your analytical ability will allow you to challenge reported positions and influence capital management decisions.

  • Your strong coordination skills will allow you to deliver time-critical outputs to senior audiences across divisions and central teams including the second line function.

  • As a collaborator you'll build strong working relationships with diverse partners and senior management, balancing collaboration with constructive challenge.

  • Your focus on operational improvements will ensure you drive a continuous improvement culture, actively addressing feedback, operational improvements, and data quality issues.
