Summary

Transport Compliance Manager

Menzies Distribution has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Compliance Manager to join our business working across 2 of our sites, Oldham and Knowsley. The successful candidate will be responsible for making sure that the site is fully compliant with regards to its compliance obligations within the transport operation. First line report for all operations staff and drivers, dealing with absence, grievance, disciplinary and recruitment reporting directly to the Depot Manager.

The Details:

    • This is a multisite role: Knowsley and Oldham
    • Salary: £35k Per Annum / £14.95 Per Hour
    • Shift Pattern:Monday to Friday - 45 Hours Per Week
    • Hours: 08:00-17:00
    • Monthly Pay
    • National CPC is mandatory
    • Full knowledge & be able to lead the compliance of transport systems such as; MYLES, iTrent, TMS, ESP, Effective & Inmotion

    Compliance Manager Duties

      • Comply with all company quality, security and Health & Safety policies and procedures.
      • Carry out investigations or incident reports in relation to any vehicle incidents.
      • Monitor driver behavior through Telematics and provide information to Transport Manager to enable him to challenge any unsuitable behavior patterns.
      • Through liaising with your Site Planners that you are fully aware of any delays and possible issues with delivery.
      • Conduct regular meetings/ reviews including probation assessments and return to work interviews
      • Complete daily driver audits
      • Check DRR paperwork to ensure all is completed correctly

      Compliance & Transport Supervisor Requirements:

        • Experience of working in a busy Transport office.
        • Knowledge of Driver Hours, Tachograph and their Legislation
        • Strong negotiating skills
        • Good standard of education
        • IT literate
        • Knowledge of Health & Safety
        • Knowledge of transport systems.
