Our Charity Shop, based in Irthlingborough, is looking to recruit a personable and organised Charity Shop Assistant to work in our small but busy high street shop. Reporting into the Charity Shop Manager who is primarily based in our sister shop in Rushden,
As the key responsibilities you will:

Keep stock levels replenished through the day to support the continual generation of sales and stock rotation.
Receive, sort and prepare donations ready for sale.
Ensure that all sales are properly recorded, including operating the till, and that all money is kept safe and secure.
Provide a friendly and effective sales experience to our customers.
Be confident working independently; working with volunteers and members of the community.
Ensure a high standard of cleanliness and health & safety.
Answer the telephone and deal with all enquiries.
Help to support and promote the work of The Salvation Army.

The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:

Excellent customer service skills.
The ability to work independently.
Cash handling experience and till operation.
Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent.
