The Grace Eyre Foundation is a charity based in Brighton & Hove and the wider Sussex community that has been working with people with a Learning Disability and autistic people since 1898. Our mission is to work towards being led by people with Learning Disabilities and autistic people to deliver high-quality housing, support and activities in their local communities. The people we support tell us that they want “good support from kind and friendly people” – so that is what we are looking for!

We are looking to recruit a support worker for our busy supported living and outreach service. The people we support have a wide range of needs including personal care, help with everyday tasks, appointments and accessing the community.

Brief outline of the role:

The role involves working to a four-week rolling rota, which includes weekend work, day and evening shifts, and possible sleep-ins. Available shifts and contracts can be discussed at interview.

Duties include supporting the people we support with medication, transportation, personal care, cooking, cleaning, finances, accessing the community etc.

We have availability throughout Littlehampton, Worthing and Shoreham areas. Own car would be beneficial but not essential.

Experience of working with people Learning disabilities and autism beneficial but not essential as full training will be given.
