About the Role:Hays are currently looking for a skilled and motivated Interim Part-Time Accountant to join a expanding engineering company in the Plymouth area. This temporary role is for a minimum of 3 months, with the possibility of extension.The position offers a competitive daily rate of £193.97 - £260.78 and requires availability for 3 days per week, with flexibility on which days you work. Hybrid working options are available, and on-site parking is provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Conduct financial analysis and reporting
- Support the finance team with month-end and year-end processes
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
- Collaborate with various departments to support financial decision-making
Qualifications and Experience:
- Ideally, fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience (QBE)
- Proven experience in accounting, preferably within the engineering sector
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Office Suite
