We’re looking for a Peer Worker to join the team running the Staying Well Brighton & Hove crisis service. The service operates evenings and weekends and we’re looking for someone with lived experience that thrives on supporting others using the Peer Support Model. This role focuses on providing one-to-one and group support to clients experiencing crisis.

To succeed in this role you’ll need a good understanding of working in mental health or equivalent transferable skills and a genuine passion for supporting people to explore their needs. You’ll receive a comprehensive induction followed up with regular training and we’ll invest in you to give you all the tools you need to succeed.

This is an opportunity to contribute to the development of our innovative community mental health services within the city. You’ll join a supportive, flexible team and be working for one of the leading providers of mental health services in Sussex. We work in a psychology informed way recognising individual experience, strengths and potential whilst valuing choice, relationships and working together.

Southdown is a psychologically informed organisation where the well-being and happiness of our employees matter. We’re committed to creating a positive and compassionate work environment where employees feel valued, respected and inspired to do their best. In addition, we’re a family-friendly employer that recognises the importance of a work-life balance. If you share our values and want to work for an organisation that helps change lives for the better, we want to hear from you.

We are a Disability Confident Employer and are fully committed to supporting Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) and welcome applications from all candidates that meet our job specifications.
