We are now seeking an experienced and dynamic Shop Manager to join our team and lead our daily operations.
Job Description:
As the Shop Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our shop, managing inventory, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, and maintaining compliance with health and safety standards. Your role will include managing both wholesale and online orders, developing sales strategies, and leading a team to achieve business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the shop.
- Manage inventory and stock levels to ensure product availability.
- Ensure the shop is well-maintained and clean.
Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service to retail and wholesale customers.
- Address customer queries and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Oversee the processing of online orders and ensure timely delivery.
Sales and Marketing:
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and attract new customers.
- Monitor sales performance and analyze data to identify growth opportunities.
- Coordinate promotional activities and special offers.
Health and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and implement corrective actions as needed.
Food Safety:
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and HACCP guidelines.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections.
Team Management:
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff.
- Build staff rotas.
Financial Management:
- Manage the shop’s budget and control expenses.
- Ensure shop takings are banked accurately.
Wholesale and Online Orders:
- Manage and fulfill wholesale orders efficiently.
- Oversee the processing and packaging of online orders.
- Coordinate with delivery services to ensure timely dispatch.
Person Specification:
*Qualifications:*
- Current certification in food hygiene, health and safety, and HACCP.
*Experience:*
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in retail management, preferably in the food industry.
- Experience in managing a team.
- Experience in managing wholesale and online orders.
*Skills and Competencies:*
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and practices.
- Proficient in using point of sale (POS) systems and stock management software.
- Ability to analyse sales data and develop strategies for improvement.
- Financial acumen with experience in cost control.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
