Trainee Bus Driver (Edinburgh)
Start your journey to become a Bus Driver with us today and learn while you earn in our dedicated training school. You will be on the road in just four weeks! Earning £15.55ph once qualified.
As a Trainee Bus Driver, you’ll receive all the necessary training, from gaining your provisional licence to becoming fully qualified, all of which is fully funded by Lothian, letting you drive your career to the next level.
Trainee driver must have:
A full UK driving licence, which you’ve held for more than one year and no more than 6 penalty points.
Availability to work a variety of shifts including weekends and public holidays.
Here’s what you can expect:
Paid training while you work towards gaining your PCV Bus licence (Cat D) – all costs covered by Lothian! (Training pay rate £12.00p/h – first 5 weeks)
Starting hourly rates £15.55p/h once qualified, rising to £16.77p/h after 12 months and £18.01p/h after 24 months.
Guaranteed 39 hour working week.
Paid overtime with enhanced hourly rates.
