As part of Falkirk Council’s Property Section, you will supervise, organise and co-ordinate the day to day running of the resources of a multi-trade section involving the programming, planning and organisation of contract and maintenance work. Applicants will carry out the duties of the Building Operations Co-ordinator during their absence.

Applicants will require to be technically competent in both building construction, maintenance and design relating to all trades and have a thorough knowledge of the Building Construction Industry including relevant Health & Safety legislation. You will have extensive knowledge of contract finance, estimating and contract management and will be required to provide statistical and other ad hoc reports on performance to the Building Operations Co-ordinators.

Liaising closely with client services, senior management, and local members you will ensure that a high level of performance and quality of service delivery is achieved. Computing skills and experience of using Microsoft packages are required.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills will be essential.

Applicants should possess an HNC or equivalent and demonstrate previous experience and commensurate with the duties of this post.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, highly motivated and committed to promoting effective teamwork.

You will require a current full driving licence and will require to participate in a standby rota providing technical advice and assistance.
