Domestic Abuse Caseworker
35 Hours a week/ Monday-Friday
£23,400 per annum
Are you passionate about making a difference? We are recruiting on behalf of a leading domestic abuse charity in Cardiff. You will need to be flexible from the hours of 9am-7pm and there will be an on-call element with this role. The role is pivotal in supporting the Adult IPA team to deliver high-quality services to victims of domestic and sexual abuse.
You will need to have expereicne managing a caseload of people, supporting adults who have experienced domestic abuse, worked in high risk environments, completed risk assessment and ideally hold an IDVA qualification. You will need to individually tailor the support packages and group work to each individual and their specific requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for clients accessing the service via various communication channels (emails, phone calls, online chat, text messages, face-to-face).
- Provide immediate crisis intervention through individual safety and support planning.
- Conduct detailed assessments to identify and assess risks and needs of service users.
- Complete referrals to safeguarding agencies such as MARAC, Children's Services, and Adult Services.
- Support, signpost, and refer women and children to relevant services (e.g., social services, police, health, legal, DWP, housing, and internal services).
