Are you passionate about supporting children and young people affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence? We are recruiting on behalf of a leading domestic abuse charity in Cardiff.

You will need to have expereicne working with children and young people who have experienced trauma and providing trauma-based support. You will need to have a minimum of a level 3 or equivalent in a relevant field. (I.E young and community work, health and social care, health or education.) You will need to have managed a caseload of people, supporting adults who have experienced domestic abuse, worked in high risk environments, completed risk assessment and ideally hold an IDVA qualification.

Role Overview:

As a Young Persons Caseworker, you'll deliver tailored support plans to help build strengths and confidence. Your work will include providing specialist support through:

1-2-1 support with an IPA; 1-2-1 mentoring; Group work addressing adolescent-to-parent violence; Group sessions supporting the child-parent bond; Gender-specific group work to build self-esteem, communication skills, and emotional regulation.
