Summary

Care and Support Worker - Southwark

Permanent Full-time role at 37.5 hours per week.

This role:

You will be working with adults with enduring mental health difficulties within a forensic support service. This service provides a secure and safe home to our customers, and you are key to their wellbeing. Customers are provided with sessions and workshops which promote rehabilitation and independent living, personal recovery, and wellbeing. You will be assigned key clients, with whom you will have regular key worker meetings, as well as also undertaking regular flat checks to ensure that tenancy guidelines are met.

You will need to be prepared to be flexible and participate in a 24 / 7 Rota including weekends and bank holidays.

Salary will be paid at £25,643 plus several fantastic benefits to include 28 days annual leave + bank holidays with the opportunity to buy 5 additional per year. Pension, Healthcare Scheme, Discounts on Hight Street names and many more!

What you will need to succeed:

  • Working in an experienced team this is an ideal opportunity for someone that wishes to start a career in adult social care or alternatively for someone to focus on supporting adults with mental health needs and associated forensic histories.
  • The key is the ability to demonstrate a passion to deliver excellent services to vulnerable adults in a dignified and empathetic manner. You will need to be able to work independently and have the confidence to deal with customers with compassion and understanding. You will need the ability to work with individuals without judgement and your work will require you to promote social interaction and community presence in a manner which is attentive to cultural inclusivity and anti-discriminatory practice.

To meet our commitment to providing safe, high-quality services to our customers we will complete an enhanced background check with the Disclosure and Barring service, which will include a check of the Adult Barred list once an offer of employment is made.
