Summary
1. Responsible for the day to day supervision and co-ordination of aseptic preparation and dispensing activities within the unit, including manufacturing. 2. To work without supervision, accurately preparing chemotherapy doses using aseptic technique following SOPs and worksheets. Isolator sessions include reconstituting, measuring and transferring correct volumes and using isolator equipment correctly. 3. To train aseptic staff in how to carry out broth transfer validations, spray and wipe, assemble and aseptically prepare chemotherapy. 4. To carry out environmental validations for isolators and the clean room. 5. To maintain own operator validations as per SOPs. 6. To label and dispense pre-filled ready to use items. 7. To accurately cost chemotherapy drugs and consumables to correct cost centres. 8. To take lead on the aseptic ordering process. 9. To support senior aseptic staff in minimising drug wastage.
