Summary
The Head of Estates and Facilities is a key role accountable for the management of total facilities services across the Hospice, The Living Well and our retail sites. The Head of Estates and Facilities will be accountable for the operational delivery of high-quality catering, housekeeping and maintenance service to all patients, employees, volunteers, and visitors to the Hospice. They will also be accountable for the fabric of the Hospice building and tangible assets including planned preventative maintenance (PPM), waste management, contract and contractor management, security, utilities, and energy sustainability. They will be the nominated competent person ensuring health and safety legislative and policy compliance. Ensure all Estates and Facilities services operate within agreed budget, be responsible for managing and reporting on Capex budget and to lead on procurement activity ensuring compliance with procedure and best value for money. Lead on business continuity planning for the hospice Participate in the place-based management on call rota Be a member of the Hospice Senior Leadership Team to contribute to the strategic development of Estates and Facilities services. (Catering, housekeeping, maintenance, IT and gardening)
