40 hours per week – 07:30am - 04:30pm, Monday to Friday.
1 hour – Unpaid Lunch Break.

We are recruiting for a Warehouse Manager, based at our Crossley Road site in Stockport.

As our Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for the overall smooth running of the warehouse. You should be able to ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly.

The main responsibilities include:
• To take delivery of stock and documents as per procedure.
• To ensure received stock is put into the appropriate area and sampled as procedure.
• Deliveries are dealt with and forwarded to the relevant people/departments within 24hours.
• All deliveries are correctly bar code labelled prior to moving out of goods inwards.
• To maintain a tidy and safe working area within the warehouse and the ‘yard’.
• Responsible for all quality issues raised within the department.
• To monitor and inform QC of any errors or variants to existing procedures.
• To ensure any reprinting of bar codes is carried out correctly.
• To ensure all returned stock is correctly labelled and scanned.
• To ensure that all chemicals are handling and stored as specified on the COSHH sheets provided by the Lab Manager and in accordance with Company Health & Safety requirements.
• To ensure daily inspection checks on all trucks are carried out as required.
• To maintain effective stock rotation.
• Additional sample requests are dealt promptly and as specified.
• Stock returned to suppliers or external companies is packaged securely and safely.
• To satisfy the daily stores order.
• To ensure rolls are available to fabric inspection as required.
• Cycle Counting of all warehouse depots.
• To continuously review and assess the operational running of the department in relation to specified instruction.
• To approve holiday requests and monitor/plan staffing levels to include temporary labour where required.
• To continuously assess rack loadings for safety and are within permissible weight limits.
• To train and assess operatives.
• To ensure all training manuals are correct and up to date and that all operatives have been trained and signed correctly – this should be on an annual basis.
• To ensure all scanning is carried out as required.
• To check and manage depot stocks daily. This encompasses the stock in other depots otherwise out of normal responsibility.
• To ensure all orders required are processed and checked prior to despatch.
• You must adhere to the Company’s Health and Safety standards as defined in the Health and Safety Policy and ensure that all who report to you also adhere to this policy.
• Perform within the requirements of your position and maintain the Company’s Quality Procedures.
Carry out any other duties when required by the General Manager – Fabrics. This may involve working in other areas of the Fabric Department.

To be considered for our Warehouse Manager role, you will need the following skills:

• A forklift licence and ideally experience on a Bendi FLT and Counter Balance FLT.
• Able to work to time sensitive deadlines and prioritise work.
• Experience of health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
• Enthusiasm, commitment, and the ability to respond positively to changing demands.
• A tidy and organised approach to work and the work environment.
• Computer Literacy (IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft AX system).
• A team player with a positive attitude with a hands-on approach.
• Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

If successful, you will complete a six-month probation period.

This is a fully onsite role.
