One of the largest housing associations in the UK is recruiting for an experienced Scheme Manager to manage one of their services in West London on a permanent, part time basis.

THE SERVICE
This Scheme Manager post is based in a ten unit supported housing service in West Kilburn, W10. The scheme is purpose built for residents with a physical disability, under the age of 60. All care and support is provided by a third party.

THE ROLE
As a Scheme Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and maintenance of the properties within the Extra Care Service. Key responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out regular building inspections, identifying maintenance needs, and reporting repairs.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and security through regular checks and accurate record-keeping.
  • Directing service contractors to ensure efficient and cost-effective services for residents.
  • Acting as a key holder, supervising access to the building as needed.
  • Assisting the Housing Team with property viewings and sign-ups.
  • Helping tenants understand housing management policies and reporting procedures.
  • Monitoring residents' safety and wellbeing, referring them to support services when necessary.
  • Reporting any safeguarding concerns following the correct procedures.


THE CANDIDATE
We are looking for a candidate with previous experience in a similar role. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Knowledge of building maintenance and health and safety requirements.
  • Basic understanding of welfare and housing benefits.
  • Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with vulnerable people and community groups.


THE CONTRACT

  • 21 Hours Per Week, 10-2, Monday to Friday (some flexibility)
  • Permanent
