We are seeking an Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day safe and clean operation of Colchester Sports Park and Joint Use sites. Your role is pivotal in meeting customer needs and maintaining quality standards across various service areas.

As an Operations Manager:
Experience will include technical skills in Normal Operating Procedures, Emergency Action Plans, and Risk Assessments within a Sport & Leisure environment.

You will drive performance to achieve financial targets and KPIs, ensuring correct staffing levels and adherence to operational standards.

Responsibilities include staff management, HR, health & safety compliance, and collaboration with other departments for quality assurance and customer service delivery.

You will be expected to Oversee or/and deliver Swim Teacher and National Pool Lifeguard Qualification training courses when covering for Leisure World Central.

The successful candidate would ideally have similar experience within the public or private sector.

Experience of working with a quality management framework such as QUEST would be an advantage.

Our full time position will work 37 hours per week. Early morning, evening and weekend working will be required, as well as Duty Officer shifts and participation in on-call rota for all sites. You will provide cover for the Operations Manager at our Leisure World Colchester site, as well as deputising for the Multisite General Manager when necessary.

Your home sites will be Colchester Sports Park, Leisure World Tiptree, Leisure World Highwoods and Leisure World Tennis Centre; however, you will also be exposed to Leisure World Colchester. In this multi-skilled role, there will be opportunity for training, growth, development, and promotion.
