Summary

Position: Specialist Teaching Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with ASC, SEMH needs, and challenging behaviour in both classroom and one-on-one settings.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).
- Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other specialists to provide holistic support.
- Monitor and report on student progress and behaviour.
- Provide emotional and behavioural support to students as needed.

Requirements:
- A background in psychology, mental health, or a related field.
- Experience working with children or young people with ASC, SEMH needs, and challenging behaviour.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
