Summary

Job Description

  • Plan, place and manage the ordering of produce to the obsessed lab with a mindfulness on great quality produce but accounting for the logistics and resources of the Lab. Working alongside the team to ensure the correct orders are placed
  • Take the lead on mise en place days ensuring ingredients are weighed accurately and preparation is done to the required chef academy standard
  • Manage the progression of the level 2 and 3 online courses alongside obsessed coordinator, checking chef progress, liaising with external apprentice providers and contacting trainees/ managers where required
  • Ensure the smooth running of training sessions and that all elements for sessions are prepared and are ready allowing the day to be efficient and effective
  • Deliver training sessions alongside chef academy team that cover the full content of chef academy programmes
  • Deliver monthly online Level 2 and L3 chef academy course content
  • Work in collaboration with Obsessed Food team delivering manifesto into the business
  • Manage the completion of FS forms required for operation of the obsessed lab ensuring all processes are correctly followed
  • Contribute to the marking and monitoring of all chef academy levels
  • Working closely with Head of Chef Development, senior chef trainer and Obsessed Lab Host on the creating, organising, hosting, and delivery of ‘Taste of Obsessed’ and clients ‘hands in the flour’ events
  • Development and evolution of creative food ideas/campaigns for delivery within Baxterstorey

Here at BaxterStorey we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Chef Trainer to join us at our Obsessed HQ in Newbury. As the Chef Trainer, you will play a pivotal role in creating, delivering, maintaining and monitoring cutting edge and dynamic training to chefs within the chef's academy at all levels. You will also collaborate with the delivery and running of the Obsessed Lab (home of food and beverage) and the Taste of Obsessed sessions that align our Obsessed Culture with the wider business.
