My client is a forward-thinking Insurer who requires a Lead Developer with proven expertise in R and Shiny Programming, a collaborative approach to work and experience of mentoring / leading / coaching colleagues to join a business critical project at a crucial stage.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as Lead Developer, with expertise in R and Shiny Programming
- Strong Understanding of Microservices Architecture and interlinking APIs
- Good understanding of Excel, VBA and SQL
- Strong academic profile, with a Degree in Mathematics / Applied Maths / Statistics / Physics / Actuarial Science / Chemistry (or related field)
- Collaborative approach to work, with experience of mentoring / leading / coaching colleagues
- Excellent communication skills
- Immediate availability
Nice to have:
- Previous Insurance industry experience
- Previous experience of working closely with Actuarial Teams
- Familiarity with Pricing Models
- Awareness of GIT best practices
- Python coding skills
