Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Imam to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the daily prayers (especially Fajar Jamat), managing the opening and closing of the Masjid. This role requires someone who is a full Hafiz of Quran, committed to serving the community, has a deep understanding of Islamic teachings, and possesses strong leadership and organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead 1-2 prayers daily(Lead Fajr salah all 7 days)
- Open and close the Masjid according to the scheduled times.
- Reside at the staff accommodation(subject to further terms to be agreed)
- Assist with the organisation events and activities.
- Provide guidance and support to community members on religious and education matters
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of Islamic teachings and practices.
- Ability to lead prayers
- UK Maters Degree or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential (at least 2 years);
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills are desirable.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness.
