The Langford Centre is a highly acclaimed 76 bedded mental health hospital, which provides low secure, high dependency inpatient rehabilitation and acute services. We support our patients from the point of admission to engage in their recovery pathway to promote successful reintegration back in to the community.

As an assistant psychologist your goal is to support and enhance the care of our service users. This will be achieved by carrying out assessments and specialised interventions, in collaboration with the lead psychologist and wider multi-disciplinary team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

o Undertake a wide range of protocol based assessments of service users
o Assist in the formulation and delivery of care plans
o Assist in the coordination and running of therapeutic care groups
o Assess and review service user progress
o Support in the implementation of audit and research projects
o Undertake data collection, analysis and production of reports


THE SUCCESSFUL ASSISTANT PSYCHOLOGIST WILL HAVE:

o A degree in Psychology
o Experience with working with adults with complex and challenging behaviours
