Summary


We are delighted to seek an experienced and highly motivated candidate tolead on Children and Young Peoples Psychological Trainings IPT-A PG Certificate.Based atGMMH Psychological Therapies Training Centre who are renowned for providing high quality training to students in evidence-based psychological therapy across the North West UK and beyond.



The course provides training in knowledge and skills required to become an IPT-A Accredited Therapist. Trainees learn to deliver IPT-A evidence-based model, engage with ongoing teaching and supervision, and cover broader CYP PT and cross pathway teachings.



Candidates will have substantial experience of delivering IPT-A and IPT-A supervision and or IPT supervision with experience of working with adolescents. We are looking to recruit a lead with knowledge and experience of teaching/training and supervision, both individually and in groups. Applicants will need an interest in IPT-A research andknowledge and understanding of training in IPT-A practice.They will have excellent communication and organisational skills, being able to participate in all aspects of training.

Ideal candidates will be registered with IPT UK as an IPT Therapist and Supervisor, hold a relevant masters degree (or equivalent) and have experience in delivering this therapy with Adolescents.



This is a fixed term post for two years. Secondment can be offered with the agreement of applicant's existing employer.

To lead and coordinate the delivery, development and evaluation of the Interpersonal Psychotherapy for Adolescents IPT-A) pathway of a high quality Postgraduate Certificate programme in Evidence Based Practice for Children and Young People (CYP) for mental health and social care professionals working in Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) or equivalent, as part of the CYP Psychological Trainings (formerly CYP IAPT) project.
