What you’ll be doing
Our Commemorations team are at the heart of the CWGC’s mission to remember those who lost their lives in the First and Second World Wars. You’ll help to maintain the casualty database and progress the output of casework and policy decisions.
Your focus will be on finding the last resting place of Commonwealth war casualties buried in the UK by their families. Using archival sources and liaising with burial authorities, you will locate the necessary evidence, so that these casualties can be commemorated appropriately by the Commission. Using your investigative skills, you will be tenacious, thorough and systematic in progressing cases from submission through to resolution.

What you need to have
- A-Level or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of 20th Century History in relation to the First and Second World - Wars
- Experience locating and interpreting documents relating to Commonwealth military service
- Good written and verbal communication
- Advanced computer literacy
