I am currently recruiting for an IT Teacher to work in an Ofsted-rated 'Good' school.

This specialist school in the Teeside area prides itself on delivering high-quality education to learners with Autism and SEMH needs. By placing learners and staff at the heart of everything they do, they are able to create a nurturing and inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.

The ideal IT Teacher will have a strong knowledge of the UK curriculum and be able to differentiate learning for students with ASD and SEMH needs. These learners will be working below the expected level due to cognitive and learning challenges, making the use of active learning strategies essential.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Good, sound knowledge of the UK curriculum (KS1-KS4)
  • Proven experience working with SEND learners, particularly those with SEMH needs.
  • Deliver engaging and adaptive IT lessons tailored to the needs of SEMH and ASD learners.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Adaptable and approachable to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Good level of physical fitness.
  • Emotionally resilient with a positive attitude
