Summary

Our client is looking for an NEC4 supervisor to join them on a contract lasting for 18 months-2 years. As an NEC4 supervisor you will work on a £14m Transforming Cities Fund Scheme. The works comprise Intervention/works - cycle tracks, new pedestrian crossings, bus lanes, etc. There will be a requirement for extended working shifts, weekend working and night works.

Key responsibilities:

  • Undertaking the responsibilities of NEC4 Supervisor or the Client's representative for NEC4 Engineering and Construction Short Contracts (ECSC).
  • Supervising works on the ground, ensuring the works are compliant with the contract Drawings and specification
  • Assist in the identification and management of risks on-site to ensure safe passage of public and workforce through site areas, often in congested urban localities.
  • Assist with the provision of basic design alterations to overcome unforeseen conditions arising on site.
  • Liaising and negotiating with a wide range of professionals, including the Contractors Staff, design staff, Client staff and Quantity Surveyors. to agree all aspects of project.

You will need:

  • RQF Level 3-4 (or equivalent) in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in the supervision of construction of civil engineering projects.
  • Knowledge of NEC4 contracts, specifications and methods of measurement.
  • Knowledge of statutory regulations (chapter 8 TSM, NRSWA, Health and safety regulations)
  • Holds a valid Construction Skills Certification Scheme card (CSCS) professionally Qualified Person or equivalent
  • Full UK driving licence
